Thumbs down Dealings with Ford Power Parts

Word of warning to anyone thinking about putting parts on consignment with FPP.

They don't pay after your parts have been sold.

Numerous calls and several visits-still haven't seen a dime.

But there is a new 30+ft RV behind his new shop in BP.Priorities,i guess.

Default FPP = Bad experiences

I normally I go out of my way not to speak badly of someone, but with FPP, I'll make an exception. I've seen numberous posts at different website about bad experiences with FPP. I to had trouble with him. I purschased a Comp Cam, lifters and several other parts several years ago, maybe $400 worth of stuff. FPP had to order the Comp cam. Well after several months of excuses from FPP as to why the cam hadn't arrived, I called Comp cams and they told me that they hadn't had a order from FPP for two years. I called my credit card company and got a refund. Myadvise is to stay away from FPP.

I drove over to FPP a couple of months ago. They had moved out and nobody there knew where (or if) they moved to.

Purchased their roller rockers and one of the adjustment screws
broke, called and explained the problem, their reply.
Well we don't have any new adjustment screws but, we can send you a few USED ones.
Three years later I'm still setting on these RR with one broken
adjustment screw. Stay away from these losers........

PERRY,
WHAT CAUSED THE FPP ROCKER ADJ SCREW TO BREAK? I WAS THINKING OF BUYING A SET OF FPP ROCKERS. WHOSE ROCKERS ARE YOU USING? ANY RECOMMENDATIONS.
THANKS, BYRON W.

Rick-i have their rockers/shafts on my motor. No problems.Still Ol Ron has a thousand dollars of mine that he has failed to return to me.Even after a polite registered letter showing receipts.
Why risk dealing with him? There are alternatives for valve train parts.

Byron, bought dove's RR, so far so good!, don't know what caused the breakage, guessing it was a bad adjustment screw.
Sending a good one to smith's brothers and see if they can make new replacements.

I have deal with FPP several times over the years, mostly with positive results. The only real complaint I ever had was that when you place an order, they will bill you for everything you ordered, but if anything is out of stock, you won`t find out until your order comes in, with a slip ststing that such & such a part is on back order. Fortunatley for me, it was usually something fairly minor , like header gaskets (great gaskets, plus they actually FIT, unlike the Mr. Gasket stuff!), and they were normally sent within a couple of weeks. I supose the best situation would be if you live within driving distance, and can deal in person. Otherwise, be certain to ask if everything you want is in stock, & will be shipped al together. As for rockers, I really like my Erson roller rocker assemblies. They come complete with shafts & stands, all assembled & ready to bolt on. I believe that these are the only rockers that use needle bearings on the shafts, at least for under $2000.00 dollars. The T&D & Jessel rockers are also needle bearing shafts, but in addition to costing 2 to 3 times as much, also require non reversable head modifactaion to fit, not to mention pushrod oiling is required.

Rory428 Garrett Machine&Welding sell full roller rockers for under a grand. They require no machine work and come in a complete kit. I got a set of T&D rockers for my #2 motor, they needed to have the heads sent out and machined for the plates. The head studs need to be longer and the nuts need to be shaved. The torking of the nuts need a thin wall socket. Still is top self stuff. Erson is sneaky with sell both types of rockers and maken it sound like both are full roller. There is a $500.00 dollar differents between them. Rick Lake

I can't believe Ron Miller is still pulling this junk!
A few years ago I had an ERA Cobra on order and a 427 Stroker motor sitting in my garage in anticipation. I lost my job and the wonderful folks at ERA graciously sent my deposit back, no questions asked.
I consigned the motor with Ford Power Parts.
A while later I stopped by and the motor was gone. They did not contact me.
I asked Ron for my money and he told me he had spent it. He wrote me 11 bad checks. Absolutely worthless. I ended up hiring a lawyer and suing him. (Successfully)

STAY AWAY!
