Default Hydraulic Clutch Kit for an LAE

My clutch cable broke on the way home from work Tuesday and now my car is down again. BUMMER!! I have a cable operated clutch and was told to switch it over to a hydraulic clutch setup. Do any of you fine folks know where I could buy an entire kit to do that?? My cobra is an older LA Exotics with a 351C. THANKS!!

National Parts Warehouse has a conversion kit listed on their web site for Mustangs that should work, with a little tweaking.

All you need to do is go to Summit Racing or Jegs and order a complete McLeod or Howe Hydraulic T/O Bearing kit for your particular engine and transmission (about $350). In the kit you will receive a master cylinder, reservior, spacer, throw out bearing with fittings and hoses. It can be easily installed in a few hours. Your LA Exotics already has the holes marked for this application. If you have any questions call Barry McGill at B&B (the successor to LAE) and he can answer most or all of your questions.

The replacement cable will cost you around $75 just for comparison.

Clois

PS- I just noticed you are in San Diago. Drive up to McLeod or PAW and pick the parts up and save the freight. If you have specific questions call Red after 10:00 am at McLeod (they are on the internet as is P.A.W.)
