Default FE valve cover wire looms??

I understand Ford still sells a wire loom that fits the tab on the Cobra LeMans (and other Ford OEM) FE valve covers. Does anyone have the part number?? I hate to pay 3 times their value with shipping going mail order.. An aftermarket one that I can get through my local speed shop would be cool too..

other nifty ignition wire routing ideas cheerfully accepted!

I understand a Cobra with the correct wire looms can outrun a new Z06...

Good question. Add 8mm wire to the equation and the search becomes even more difficult.

I started off using the standard/original loom that I bought from the parts dept. at a Ford dealer close by, but with those I was unable to guide the plug wires as cleanly as I wanted so I scrapped them.
I then bought a set of looms/guides off of ebay for next to nothing and was able to modify the mounting configuration so the wires sit "cleanly" and remain flexible without any of the ends being tugged upon or geting stuck in the various linkage configurations on the engine.
I can attach/disconnect the guides with or without wires readly.

How about marketing a few of these for a few $$$$$$$'s.
I'd buy.

The OEM "Black Ones" can be had through any of the Mustang parts suppliers.
They were universal for all V8 engine families including 289. 8mm wires will fit in them too.

One of the 5.0 Mustang wire loom holders are made for the 8 mm wires...

I believe that Jamo's engine builder made his out of plexiglass...

Here's how we had to mount the 10mm wires we are using .....

Just made a bracket out of Angle aluminum and riveted it to the valve cover and installed Nut-serts in the top and screwed the 4 hole loome to the bracket....

Easy and clean and works for 10mm wires

Morris

The generic plastic ones used to be available at every parts house in the Motormite Help! packaging.

Leave it to Morris to find the near-best solution. I'll be up in L.F. on Monday. I wish I had time to see the monster.

SFiredog had a super nice system as I recall. Try looking into his gallery.
