Default Ross pistons? 99601's

Just wondering if anyone is running Ross pistons in their FE, and if so, what is your general opinion on them? I ordered Probe pistons (14472's) from Flatlander racing, then got a message the next day saying they were not actually in stock, and would be a couple weeks until they'd ship. I decided to go with the Ross pistons from Summit, and just wondered if anyone else is running them or have any experience or opinions with/about them.

Thanks,
Greg

Ross is a very good piston maker. Quality is up there with the best. You will not be disappointed. I think Probe stuff is made in Lancaster Ca. You used to be able to buy direct.

Ran Ross in two FE motors. Would run them again in a heartbeat. Now running Diamond in my 482.

Thanks for the replies. Scufty- I am unfortunately only building a 390, but would love any additional info you can offer. There is not really alot of anything about them, information-wise on a yahoo or google search.

Thanks,
Greg

I recently re-built my FE and used Diamond http://www.diamondracing.net/home.asp. Good pieces and good pricing, I would definately use them again. Got them thru Victory Racing Engineshttp://www.victoryracingengines.com/

good luck,
Mike

I have a set of Ross in my 427 right now and I like them and so did my engine builder.
