He did have a website for a while but the current one no longer works for me now. I'm not certain if there is a new one. Great block though. Lots of guys running them here. I have a Genesis block so I'm not much help.

I was watching RM auctions the other am, and I think I saw that he bought a restored 1950 Lincoln woody or something like that, for about $100K

Great Blocks
Robert P. came through my area last year with a trailer full of blocks where upon
a gentleman who has helped me out with my carb needs relieved him a few of them. Really an impressive piece of work.

We have built about 30 of these so far if not more. I have five in stock right now and more on order. Feel free to call with any questions you might have about the blocks. We have worked very close with Robert on these blocks the last two years. Thanks, Keith Craft 870-246-7460

I have one and very satisfied with the quality
Feel very strongly that the Pond block offers the best bang for the buck. The quality of the casting is awesome. After all the problems I have heard with genesis blocks I would avoid them at all cost. That leaves you with Shelby and Pond. Either one is great however you will pay more money for the Shelby.

Problems with the Shelby block have also been noted, rear main seal in particular. The issue has been addressed. Like Woodward said, machine shop work is EVERTHING, no matter what block you get. I suspect what ever issues exist or existed with the Genisis block can be addressed by good machine shop work as well. Any block, including Pond, can be screwed up by an incompetent builder.

I think the negative press the Genesis block had came from their aluminum castings.

I know one Distributor who is having a hell of time with Genesis. He has had to return two block recently. Has a customer on hold for the past 4 months.
I had a long conversation with someone from Roush and he said they are not doing Genesis blocks which require too much machine work. They are doing more and more with Shelby blocks as well as suppling complete motors to Shelby. The best thing you can do if you are going with a after market block is connect with Mike Lefevers, Keith Craft or George Anderson they are all on top of the current status of aftermarket blocks.

Morgan,
I think you must be referring to my shortblock. It's actually closer to 8 months but I think it is finally done. I believe there was a run of defective iron blocks that Genesis recalled last year. Pitting showed up in the cylinders when they were given an overbore probably from casting defects. Sounded like it affected only a few blocks. I feel really sorry for Doug who had to eat all that labor and waste a bunch of his time. He even went so far as to drive all the way to Genesis to pick up new blocks. The aluminum blocks were OK so Doug set me up with one of those. Too bad stuff like this has to happen to such a nice guy. Hopefully I can get my Mustang back together again very soon after being off the road for so long and run it at the track.

Thanks
Thanks for the follow-up to my note. Yes I know that it has bothered and fustrated Doug. Their product has affected his business. I hope you do get that motor quickly and your Mustang is back on the road and track soon.
