Jross has a point, It was necessary to opened my push rod holes (with a aluminum bit in a high speed die grinder) in my tunnel wedge and in-line intake. Just be careful and don't get into the runner.
If you only have a steel bit keep dipping it in diesel fuel, this will keep the aluminum from building up.

Several years ago, I bent a pushrod and broke a rocker arm on my FE. I ended up buying a replacement rocker and a spare from Dove and since I did not know whose pushrods I had, I bought new ones from Dove. If you are worried about the fit of the pushrods, especially when they break and shed steel into your engine, maybe buy new ones from Dove.

I tore off the intake and heads but found no other problems. I was very happy with the help I got from Dove! I had a 7000 RPM rev limiter on the engine but I now have a 6000 RPM rev limiter. I think my problem was a missed shift and too high a rev limit.

BFBurk,

I had no idea that Dove made Push Rods. On Gessford's website he recommends Smith Brothers. I will call Dove today.

Thanks for the info.
