Need info. for Weber studs 427 length

Hello All,

I am in the process of making my IDA spacers that are a 1/2 in thick.

Does anyone one know how long of a stud I need to replace the original stud for the intake manifold.

I would like to order the studs today to have them in time for the weekend. Trying to avoid wasting a day because the car is not with me at work

1.975" call it 2". comprised of..... .600 (into manifold), .375 (carb base), .200 (2 gaskets), .300 (nut), .500 (spacer)

Wouldnt a 1/2 inch carb spacer be .500?

It says .500 for the spacer???? He is asking for the O/A length isn't he?

Sorry Rick, I misread it. Your right, my mistake. I was thinking carb base. Did any of the originals have spacers when using webers? Does the phoenolic spacer reduce heat that much over alum?

Not sure if it does, but I would imagine that it would. The phenolic spacers are certainly someting to consider. Anything to reduce heat conducted to the carburetor body would be a good thing. I was provided with some unusually thick gaskets that I will initially use but I will be open to potential improvement which the spacers would appear to be, although I might be inclined to machine a groove on either side of the spacer for an "O" ring in lieu of using additional gaskets (??)
