FE crossram
I came across this today and had never seen or heard of it before. I suppose the linkage would pose a bit of a problem.

Just fitting one of those up at the moment, fortunately the throttle linkage kit came with it. Wish I could say the same for the external oil pump, PS pump & alternator all of which are non standard!

They're neat if all you want is impressive looks
but they're '50s and '60s technology. A single four of large enough size will far outperform it.
Good Luck,
Dan

I agree if you have one turn it into a coffee table and run a single four intake with a good 750.

I don't think I'd get one, I just never saw one before. I'm sure there are clearance issues for under the hood. I probably will go with a single four at this point, although I love the tunnel wedge 2x4.

I'm sure more of you have seen that intake than realize it .
That's the intake the SuperSnake uses.

Hood clearance issues would be a problem so I wouldn't run it on my Cobra. But I would LOVE to run it on just about anything else, it looks SO cool.
More power from a single carb? Not enough additional power to overcome how boring a single four is compared to THIS bad boy!

Is someone is looking for these crossrams for the FE let me know. I know where there are two with their linkages, etc. Just drop me a pm and I'll hook you up with the seller gratis.

Edelbrock crossram (same as the one that started this thread), as converted by Man `A Fre.
I wouldn't call crossrams old tech, or old school. If anything, they preceded by decades current manifold design. Just look at any modern intake and you'll see the long tuned runners of the crossram.
