Default FE rocker arms

Does anyone know anything about this company? Their FE parts look very nice and well thought out.

I agree Tom they are a nice looking set of rockers. I wonder what range their prices fall into? Nice to have options.

Default Rocker Arm Specialties

They used to make the steel rockers for Shelby and SA supposedly had quality problems (dimensional discrepancies) resulting in some early wear out issues. SA now makes them in house. On the flip side, Rocker Arm Specialties seems to be doing fairly well, which probably wouldn't be if everything they made were poorly done. Who knows....

I have not heard of them. Here is another rocker arm and shaft manufacturer I found that may of be of interest. They are made by Oregon cam grinding in Vancouver washinton. Anyone used these?

Hi Tom,

I looked into these guys when I started the build for my GT40 engine but went with the T&D parts instead.

http://www.tdmach.com/

BTW looked at the pricing and the FE rockers (406,410,427) were $ 310 each if I read the price list correctly, seemed very expensive. The T&D components are very similar in design to the Jessel rockers, they are both expensive.

Tom,
If your looking for top shelf FE rockers I am pretty sure Jesel makes a set but they will be more than $1,000.

RD,

Just about all of the top end valve trains are going to be in the $800 - $1000 range.

I had a set of stainless rocker arms from rocker arm specialties, basically Shelby roller rockers without the Shelby signature. I had them on a 427 Centeroiler with edlebrock heads. They did not work out to well on that set up. Although I was having problems with a cam so take it for what it was worth. Also I think that the Shelby rockers have a 1.73 ratio and everyone else seams to run 1.76 ratio.

Tom, Boghosian swears by T&Ds...that's what I have and I haven't managed to break one yet (gawd knows I've tried).

I have been running the Oregon Cams rocker support setups for about 25 years, they work great, and I have never broken a rocker shaft since. (I broke plenty before!)
