Blue Thunder Pent-Roof valve covers
After reading about the oil leak problems with the stamped steel chrome pent-roof valve covers, I decided to give the Blue Thunder Pent-Roof cast alum ones a whirl.
Anyone have these? I ordered mine from http://www.dscmotorsport.com.

I have owned a set. They wouldn't clear my Erson rocker arm setup.

Do the regular chrome pent-roof valve covers clear the Erson rocker set up?

Not sure. They clear T&D, so probably.
The Ford Racing valve covers clear easily, if that helps.
You could always return them. I didn't mess with thick valve cover gaskets or anything...but they wouldn't set down on the head for me.

I bought the polished Shelby FE covers from them and everything clears perfectly. And not one drop of leakage! The chrome stamped steel FE covers I had before leaked like sieves. Rubber gaskets. On the cast covers I used Fel Pro rubber impregnated cork gaskets from Summit, sealed completely to the new covers with gray RTV, let sit overnight, and bolted them up.
Since it appears you also have a KC 482, you must have the same heads and pretty much the same valve train as I do. Call Keith first. I seemed to luck out.

I don't know. That little indentation for bolt clearance on the top side with the three bolt holes looks problematic. The finned cast ones didn't have that much indentation.
I like the cleaner look of the ones you're ordering better, but knew the ones I ordered would fit since I had seen them on the engine earlier. Keep us posted when you get them.

Those are the ones I had...they are not the comp covers. I think you may have trouble with them.
No, you'll get your stuff eventually...Dennis is just a little slow sometimes on shipping things out.

They'll ship. Agree with blykins. Took a little longer than others. As I recall he used FedEx which in my opinion is slower than the UPS service I get in So Cal. And Fed Ex wants a signature to boot.

So they will fit, I'll just need to clearance a bit?
Or do I need to specify the Comp version? What's the difference between the two?
