Son of a gun, I'm just hitting the send button on my last message when the UPS guy rings the bell with the package from Keith. Cam I'm using is:

Comp Cams #33-000-9 solid roller
Grind #FB 4220R / 4221R R112+4
Keith Craft Proprietary Grind
Gross lift .674" / .674"
Duration @ .050"
I- 255 E - 262
Lobe Separation 112.0

I'm told it's a fairly nasty cam but will still be streetable. I hope.....

By the way, just for interest regarding the other thread about Comp Cams and the wrong distributor gear, I had Keith assemble a new MSD distributor with the gear he preferred for this Comp Solid Roller and also recurve it. He sent it with a bronze gear. FWIW.

I actually was talking to Keith yesterday about this cam.
It seems many FE crate engine buyers/builders opt for similar cam specs. Must be a sweet spot of some kind. I don't have a KC-built FE, but my 482 has a cam with a 245/252 duration, .630/.651 lift with a 112 LSA. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like. Someday.

$5,000 huh? Sure, thats the ticket, it was only 5 grand AND it came with a flying pig!

Stamped steel valve covers are more prone to leak than the cast, start grinding.

They look good, I say grind em!

Thanks, Scott
