Give George Anderson at Gessford Machine a call. Without a doubt one of the best, if not the best, FE builders around.

I had them re build my 1964 427 Center Oilier for my boat $8700, it ran for 45 min before it fried the lower end, no oil to crank, cam. The motor is know junk.

IMO, Chuck guske and Bill Param are not to be trusted, this from personal experience and 20 yr. in the ATL area. Once is all it takes.

I have a 427 S/O from Southern Automotive and am very pleased with it. The motor runs strong and reliable, and remarkably does not "mark its territory" on the pavement under it as most S/O's are known for. Bill returns all my emails by phone personally and promptly. No complaints.

Also the service from outside USA is one of the best.

Dale,
You might give Peter Knight at Knight Racing Services a ring since you are in the UK. The number I have is 44 1327 871177. Not sure if he is still around, but I've done some FE business with him in the past.

Well, I cant speak to other's experiences, but Tom at FE specialties has done some work on my 65 427 sideoiler, and has managed to correct several problems caused by the original builder of my motor. He has quit a few high-dollar motors going through his shop, so someone must think he knows what he's doing.

Go Gessford.

Default FE engine in the UK

We have sold several engines over seas and especially to the UK. I went to England last summer to see a customer and helped him with his install into his new Kirkham. I have been to Finland and Sweden to see customers as well and do some racing with them.
We keep Shelby, Pond, Genesis and Ford original blocks in stock along with about any other part you would need for a FE engine. We have to order very few parts for our engine builds. We can normaly get you a very nice FE done in about 4 weeks if needed. Give us a call before you buy because with our buying power and equipment it is hard to get a better FE for the dollar.
We build about 100 FE engine a year for Cobras, vintage Mustangs, NHRA Stock and Super Stock race cars, Restoration concoure Mustangs and even road race cars.
We are doing about 5 to 6 engines over seas a month right now with the dollar down. We are also doing some complete cars for customers as well.Good luck with your project, Keith Craft

Even the best builder can have issues. parts problems, etc.

Interview a few, get references , be clear on your expectations and wants. don't get SOLD something.

If you need further help, send me a PM.

Steve
