I would go with the 65-66 to keep the cap in the center of the hood.
Less chance of any interferance.

The stock Ford tank can be turned around easily at a radiator shop to either side. You can also shorten the tube that goes to the manifold to reduce the height, if you have that issue. Radiator shops pressure test the brass tanks after soldering and fix leaks if there are any.

I've had two of these built because my radiator needs a driver-side outlet. Cost to turn it around was about $60 here.

This is not rocket science. Radiator shops have been dealing with brass expansion tanks since they were built in the 60's. They look nice all polished up too.

Go here for a number of options on expansion tanks. Halfway down the page he lists what he can do and what it costs. Recommend emailing him or calling. George is real helpful.

I picked this one up at a swap meet. Had the radiator shop pressure test it. I polished it then reversed the outlet to the drivers side. Spent less than $80 on the whole deal

Sorry I missed the early postings on this thread, but feel compelled to add my two cents worth. I bought a Dove expansion tank two years ago and it came with a 1/4 inch hole just under the outlet neck. You could literally stick a pencil in it. I called and they sent another. The second seeped coolant through the bottom of the tank. When I called they said they would replace, but have yet to come through. I pursued this with them for about six months (many phone calls and emails) and finally gave up. For me the bottom line is I will not purchase another Dove product and any time I see a posting inquiring about a Dove product, I will pass on my experience. Good Luck.

rlsidwell, thanks on the heads up on the dove tanks, i hate paying good money for something that would be a potential problem.
