Not too shabby. You might want to send a note to Grubby as per this very recent thread. Is a 482 too much for street driving

Brad

Sounds like a great price for a KC! I will be in GR in a few weeks, maybe I will drop you a line when there?

I have a 482 in my Kirkham, but I'm thinking I need a backup. Does it leak or is that stupid FE question?

Great luck with the sale.

Wow, great price on a great engine. Good luck with the sale.

Rodney it doesn't leak, it marks its territory.

Hi Brad, did someone buy this engine? It's driving me nuts thinking about it since I paid significantly more for mine. Timing is everything.

I just happen to have a brand NIB FE engine dolly from Barry R just sitting idle in my garage.

Hi Rod,
I have a pending sale until this evening. Without a commitment tonight, it will be available.

Regarding the oil leak question,... I did have a small leak but waited to comment until I removed the flywheel to see what was up. Everything on the back was dry, so I am certain that the leak was self inflicted by a half assed fitting at the engine side of the oil pressure line to the gauge. Once the engine was in the car, it was almost impossible to fix it w/o lifting the engine again, so I moved on to sorting the rest of the car, and never went back to it.

Best of luck with the sale. I know my mind was tossing around the idea of buying it. I'm glad someone beat me to it.

Rod, Yes, I had planned on crating it, and getting it to a shipping company. I have the original shipping stand from KC. The cost of the freight would be the responsibility of the buyer.
