I tried several different brands and had the best luck and longevity with Autolites so that is all I use in any of my cars. Champions really sucked and the car ran bad with them.

Default Autolites

Scufty I run either 3924's or 3934 autolites for my car, depending on how hot it is at the track. This is with a complete MSD ignition system. I have run other plugs, like NGK,Champions, AC, ACCEL, and Denso. My FI motors runs best with autolites. The Champions made better power for the first 2, 20 minute runs and then the power fell off a little. Accels where just not a good choice. NGK I got a breakup in the ignition after 2 years of racing, about 15 20 minute curcuit runs. Autolites are built for Fords, my Ford for there motors. The denso are the only ones that didn't get a fair test because of the blower belt problems. They are for boost motors IMO. They cost about twice as much also. For the 6,200 rpm max on my motor, the powerband I stay within, the autolites work for me. They may not produce the most power but they are close. You can get some free power by just indexing your spark plugs also. Rick L.

Yep, Scufty -- if you're looking for a reason to spend the day in the garage you can easily kill an afternoon just indexing your plugs. Folks like Rick L. say it's good for a handful of HP, but I don't know.... mostly it's a great excuse for puttering over the engine with a wrench when you don't really want to spend your time fixing whatever it is that's really broken.
