Let's hear and see a video of you FE Cobra running. I have a small clip of mine but I will be taping a new video soon.
I bought a Mickey Thompson aluminum connecting rod for $10, to mount on my roll bar and attache my camcorder to it. I will show it a start up in the garage, idling, down the street and on the highway.
It's just a private seller I found while surfing the web. I have a old tripod for my camcorder that I will be tapping into the connecting rod. It will tilt and move 360 degrees. The journal end is larger than my 2" roll bar so I'm going to lathe a bushing for it. I will protect the chrome using some rubber sticky back sound proofing material I used for my truck stereo install. Should be pretty cool.

Zip Ties
The few times I've videoed from my cars I've found that zip ties work great. You use several of them to get the camera nice and tight and safe -- then just cut them off when you're done. Cheap, easy, and effective. Of course, not quite as cool as a dedicated roll-bar mount....

I think I won...
I think the mere fact that I was able to hold a timing gun on the marks while simultaneously videoing with my Blackberry in the other hand makes me the winner of this contest.
Here is a customer engine on the dyno.... not super powerful at 530 horsepower, but really cool engine to see and hear.
Lots of noise from the dyno cell fan - sorry 'bout taht. This was a tuning pull - you can watch the March pulley kit "flex" under load - needs a rearward support bracket - and it gets cool around a minute into the video after warm up.
