Default Bellhousing bolt size

Would anyone happen to know the size of the bolt that connects the bellhousing to the block and/or where I could buy them? I need them to attach the engine to my engine stand. The engine is a 1972 360.

Thanks,
Pete

If memory serves me, it's about a 1/2" x 13 (NC) about 2" long and should be grade 8. Any respectable hardware store should have them.

nope, there 7/16"-14
My stand ears are 2-7/8" long. So 7/16"-14 x 3-1/2" works perfect with a washer.

Lakewood instructions here- "C" are the bolts going into the block.

BTW Pete, did you end up with the 360 with the 4V intake?
Is it a factory cast iron? I'm looking for one...

The engine is coming tomorrow and I will check it out and let you know. I'm pretty sure it has a 2bbl carb on it, so that would make it a 2v....but I will let you know for sure.

Pete, interested in a set of heads? Ford Cast Iron, I think they are C4AE 6040. I will check if you are interested.

I think all the 360's were 2 bbls in OEM form. Standard fare in 70's pickups

yep, 390's had a 4v option 73-76 for trucks.
Thinking it was swapped on or maybe it's really a 390...
