TWM 427 FE on eBay auction cancelled???
Anyone see this listing on eBay, a new TWM Fe system?
I placed a bid on it and later got this message from eBay:
"eBay Listing 150227534233 Cancelled - Results Null and Void"
Weird, I wonder what happened? Was it a hoax?

I was wondering the same thing as well. It's no doubt out of my price range but I was watching out of curiosity. My guess is a deal was reached outside of eBay and the auction was withdrawn. I doubt it would have sold, with less than a day left, the setup, while worth about $10K, was still below $2K, and marked below reserve. That's alot of ground to make up. The guy probably got a decent offer that he could live with and took the money and ran.
Is the Accel distributor and computer the norm for these setups? I don't know much about the TWM system but I found the use of Accel pieces a bit odd. Again, I'm no wiz with the system, it's way out of my reach so I haven't spent a whole bunch of time learning anything about it.

Al from Thor sells the TWM setups complete for about $7,500-$8,000, plus tuning and installation is extra.

I placed a bid on the weber setup that he was also selling but it was below the reserve. I placed the bid to test the reserve and I was the high bidder at auction end. My bid was $2500 and he later sent me an email that he would take $2500 even though it was below the reserve. I replied that I was also interested in the TWM setup but I was concerned about the distributor which is the part number for a 460 unit. He said the distributor would fit an FE block and he would take $7000 for the TWM listing. Both items, the webers and the TWM came in far below what they are worth, it looks like other bidders were as concerned that it didn't quite feel right.

Do you know if he is going to re-list the TWM system?

He didn't say but he said that he has done a lot of work with these systems and the distributor would fit a FE block and clear the TWM fuel line. That had me concerned because I am sure that the distributor would not fit and TWM offers a special manifold to clear a distributor and his was not it. It all seemed odd to me. I will ask him tomorrow if he is re-listing and let you know, his email is at work and I am home.

The distributor is definitely not the same on a 460 vs. FE.. Maybe the whole thing was a scam??

All of the new airhorns will have a groove machined on the inside bottom edge to accept a piece of #14 304 stainless that will be secured between the throttle body and airhorn. We will have finer mesh available that will fit inside the airhorn on top of the #14 that can be removed for cleaning. This will give a level of filtration, and minimal restriction while not taking anything away from the clean look of the airhorn. Please note the new less expensive ECU I have added to try to lower the cost.

The Ebay seller of the TWM unit was collectorschoice1958. I tried to contact him through Ebay just now but I could not, I think that he needs to be listing something and he is not. The link to the Weber setup that he was selling still works and it is here.

You may be able to contact him that way.

Al, I hope sooner than later. Just need to knock a few things off my "list."
