Finally got to drive my new Backdraft but I'm hearing what appears to be this annoying rattling when the car is deaccelerating, as if the heat shields are ready to fall off. What is that? A major distraction! HELP!

Gus, I had the same issue with my backdraft w/427srx. After removing the shields the rattle continued on low deceleration. I ended up switch out side pipes from backdraft and the rattle was still there. I ended up removing the glass pack and installing a corkscrew inserts, no more rattle on deceleration. No change to my DBA. I thought it was just bad glass packs by backdraft but its the combination of motor and side pipe in my options. Good luck.

Yes 427 Roush, 2014 backdraft with 2,220 miles. Rattle started around 2,000 miles. Backdraft had no option when I spoke with them.

We sell an aftermarket pipe that eliminates this with superior fit and looks. Email me if you want additional info.

Over time, heat shields can become loose due to vibration and thermal expansion. Regular inspections and
immaculate grid football
maintenance can help prevent issues by catching loose or damaged heat shields early.
