Hi,, not sure were to post this but here goes,, newbie to canada (7yrs now) and a newbie to this site,, i finally took the plunge and bought a cobra, dont know much about it except its a ffr mk1 1997,,, 5lt cobra engine and a 5 speed,, would love to know were i can find the ffr number on the chassis, am hoping to get as much info on this car as i can,, it was titled in new york and is now at home here in saskatchewan,,engine seems to have no number and am told it is possibly a crate engine, and if any one has info on insurance here in sk id love to know,,, thx in advance, shaun.. ps when i figure out how to post a pic i will do

Hi Shaun, and congratulations on purchasing an FFR Cobra replica. Like a girlfriend, it'll surely provide you with great excitement and the occasional heartbreak which is all part of the love affair. As your car is an FFR, I would suggest that you sign up over at the FFCars forum which happens to have a Canadian Section (see Canadian Region sponsored by Specialty Car Parts Canada - FFCars.com : Factory Five Racing Discussion Forum). I too am in Saskatchewan (Regina area), and I've been a long time fan of Cobras since 1968 when I saw one of the originals a couple of times in Regina that apparently left an indelible impression.

I'm in the final stages of purchasing a 1991 West Coast Cobra. The deal s/b closed within the next couple of weeks, and then I'll have to wait (impatiently) for it to arrive from its current home.
