My EM was built in the mid-90s as a race car and was very rough when I bought it. About six years ago I took it apart and rebuilt it the way I wanted. With the body off, it looks like a big go kart. It was very easy to rebuild with Corvette suspension components and aftermarket hotrod parts. I decided to redo the dash, so I took the old one down to a HVAC contractor and had him bend up a new one out of sheet aluminum. I then cut holes where I wanted them for gauges and switches, and had it powdercoated. I took the car to an upholstery shop for carpet. I replaced all the wiring and plumbing myself. The bottom line is that there was nothing I needed that I couldn't get without having to use EM. Admittedly, my car is not a faithful replica of an original 427SC, but it looks good and drives great. Unless I needed something truly unique like a door or trunk lid, I wouldn't worry much about all the small stuff.
