Congratulations on your position as head of the shop. I want to update E-M on my Cobra, built in 1991. I now have 241,000 miles on the build. After several motors and different transmissions experimented with and several accidents (none fatal) my Cobra (Barbie) is still running great. Working on the 3rd set of brakes, tires and just rebuilt the original rear end. I have found that the parts don't usually wear out but just get to old (like me). 2nd paint job and 2nd top and original seats and carpet. I have had so much fun with this car, it was my only car to drive for many years and that's why the miles are so high.
I finally decided on the 5.0 and the AOD to keep both hands on the wheel. Stayed with leaf springs for a more comfortable ride but still feels like a grownup go kart. And now back to the garage. SN
