Ladies & Gentlemen: After two years of non-stop building a new factory, finding missing suppliers and replenishing missing and rare inventory we are moving ahead. Note that we did not build an E-M and knew nothing of the earlier GEN III and earlier cars so we have had to learn from thousands of drawings, experiment with visits to customers and also redesign some critical parts. We set up the website to provide an e-mail connection which we try to answer the same day and installed an 800 number that is monitored, (but not closely). We understand the concern callers have expressed and we are listening. We will monitor this forum (now that we found it - another discovery we made) so let us hear your comments and criticism.

Julie, IMHO I thick you should post a general notice on CC, as to what you have said here, and that you are now ready to get EM rockin and rollin again. Since the move you've taken, and given, a lot of flack about the company and lack of service. If you're truely up and running, let everyone know.

I totally agree. As an E-M owner, I want nothing more than for you to succeed. The lack of communication for so long has a lot of people thinking E-m is no more.

We read your replies and we are here. As you all know the economy and lack of financing for small business has us working part time in the shop. E-mail is the best way to assure we respond. Three people check these daily and we try to call back. If you call the 800 number and want a return call tell us what time zone you are in and the best time to call. That way we will avoid telephone tag.

I'm currently building a EM Gen IV. The stainless steel frame and primary component quality is top notch. EM, Tom and Julie have worked very closely with me as I chose to build a car with a small block (I know it's blasphemous)Ford engine which required much re-tooling and adapting/finding the correct parts to work with this engine choice. They have been diligent in tracking down or engineering the correct items and getting them to me in as timely a fashion as they can. We've had a few snags along the way, but I am certain it will be well worth it when the car is done.

I built my EM several years ago with my neighbor. When we learned that EM was now our virtual neighbor we visited Tom at the factory. Wow we were impressed! The quality of this car is second to none IMHO. They have retained the car's strong points (best body and 4" tube chassis) but the chassis is now made of stainless with precision tolerances. They are offering polished stainless side pipes with a ceramic insert. These pipes sound great and have very little restriction. I have hated my steel side pipes since day one because they are so loud and always looked ugly.

I feel it is essential that Tom and Julie ensure a live person answers the phone. An answering service is a simple solution. I have seen first hand the effort they are investing in this product and am completely sympathetic with the task of rejuvenating EM with limited resources. I too want to see their success.
