Well I guess I'll be the newbee. I like having more brains to pick. I got my "kit" 3rd hand. It must be about 9 years old and never finished. Just trying to get through it. I'm getting close. I didn't know there were more RUCC's out there. Thanks for the invite Juggernaut. These are old pics listed when the car was just thrown together for transport. I'll try to get others when it comes off the lift.

Nah, you're not the newbee, we just started this group the other day. This is the place to ask questions about your build, so fire away!

The pics of your Cobra are nice, man are you gonna have fun with it when it's done!

Did you get your steering column issue taken care of? How about the door latch?

Let me know if I can come over & help out with anything, been awhile since I've been over to your place.

Hey Randy, The steering column is done but now I wish I would have used a flaming river or just a simple racing column. Now I'm trying to find an adapter and aftermarket wheel that won't be in my lap. Any suggestions? And I did fix the door latch problems. Nothing like cutting a big access hole in your door to get to a latch that cannot be removed. I'll bring pics on Sat to IHOP. c-ya. Phil.

I'd be interested in what you did to fix you door latch. I'm not very happy with the latches and strikers i'm using and would like to change them. Pictures would be nice. Thanks

Phil, I used a Grant steering wheel, I can tell how I installed it Saturday at IHOP. No big deal. I'll aslo bring the info on getting your Cobra registered here.

Glad you got the latched figured out, looking forward to hearing about it. Be sure to let Darren know.

To Modified: I posted a picture of the door cutout on my Album. Is this the same setup you have? You can't get the latch out without destroying the door. Just another challenge. Did you see the door pic on the RUCC page? c-ya, Phil.

? Is there an RUCC Page? I posted a pic of the door bars out in the gallery. Is that the one you are speaking of? Best way to get the latch out is to drill holes for the bolt heads and then cut an access hole on the end of the door so you can slide a wrench in. Then make a cover plate for the side of the door. I like the industrial latches! They lock in solidly and support the door. Unlike those wimpy ones usually used.

Thanks for posting the pictures, they are the same as mine. I posted a few pictures on my gallery. I bought the billet door handle bezels off ebay that cleans it up a little bit.

I checked out you pics. Very nice. It's interesting that two RUCC cars were finished in Ada. We use to live over on Foster. I have been wanting to plan a trip and see some old friends. Now I have another excuse to come that way. Do they still having the car show down town. If so let me know when it is and I'll come down.
