Anybody know the width of the rear axle housing and what year mustang it comes from? What offset wheels in front and rear? What springs are used in the front and rear? Anybody have parts left over like mirrors, latches or hood pins, carpet patterns, visors, seat belts, emblems, side louvers, license light and bracket? Can't hurt to ask, right? Just thought I'd ask before I start ordering things. I need carpet and heat reflective padding and door panels. Any recommendations? Any info on getting a title, etc? Hoping to get this thing on the road soon. Thanks, Phil.

Phil,
Not sure of the width, but the standard 8.8 rear that Roger used was from an 86-93 Mustang.
The box that my front springs came in had MOOG on it with the number CC827 Cargo Coil on it. Not sure about the back. I did have to cut the front springs down to get the proper ride height.
The assembly manual I'm letting you borrow has the wheel offsets in it.
If you still work at American, just get some sound insulation that they use on the aircraft, thats what I did & it works just fine.
I didn't have any patterns for the carpet or panels. A good interior shop won't need any & if you decide to do it yourself, I don't think it'll be too hard.
Sorry, I don't have any of the parts that you mentioned, Finish Line is a great place to get them from. You can even check here on the forum.
I'll send you an e-mail with what I had to do to get the title.

Phil,
Standard Mustang II or aftermarket tubed? QA1 has some nice ones from expensive to cheap. I put a set of ajustables on mine and they work really will. (MS1500)
The part# for their standard Mustang II replacement is MSE5600. They have different part numbers for different spring weights and they also offer the inexpensive style for the aftermarket tube suspension.
I have a set of wheels if you are interested. They are 255/45ZR17. The back spacing is 5 3/16 and the front is 2 3/16. They have a duel lug pattern that fits ford and "dare I say" chevy. The tires are Sumitomo.
I reupholstered mine about 4 years ago. You can use anything to make your patterns, cardboard, plastic, old cloth. I have one recommendation, on you side panels use the plastic upholstery board. The press board will warp if it gets wet. And if you like to drive you cobra and wash it, it will get wet. Any good upholstery shop will know what you are talking about.
See ya Don

Phil,
I ended up using hood pins so I have hood latches you can have. I got louvers from Roger but initially I wasn't happy with them because they didn't fit right so I tried the aluminum ones from Finish Line. After I got them I realized I'd have to cut the flange of the body that run around the vent hole. I didn't want to do that, wasn't sure how that would affect body integrity so...I took rogers apart modified the pieces so they would fit and welded them back together, I mention all of this because I assume you didn't get any from roger and want to give you some background info to mull over as you consider your options.

Hey Guys, Thanks for the help. Ken, I'd be interested in those louvers and hood latches. Don, what kind of wheels are they and what do you want for them? Randy, I'll look for your e-mail. I'll probably see you at IHOP Saturday. What time will you be there? Thanks again everybody! Phil.

Phil, I'll be at IHOP about 5:30 Saturday afternoon, I'm hoping Chris comes over too, I sent him an e-mail about it, didn't hear back from him yet. There might be two other Cobras showing up too.
I'll send you the e-mail tomorrow, been stuck working late every night this week.

Phil if you'll PM me with your address I'll ship the hood latches to you. I sent back the louvers a couple of years ago, sorry 'bout the misunderstanding. Also, I have 2 coil springs with spring jacks if you need them. They were on my 9" but I think they work on the 8.8 as well.

Phil,
$200 bucks for the whole set. I think they are American Racing. I"ll post a picture of them and one with them on the car (Car's not painted). With my IRS I did use a spacer to set them out a bit. Fronts are perfect.

Ken,
Many, many thanks for the latches. Sure do appreciate them! I'll try to get them installed this week. I went ahead and ordered the louvers from Factory Five just because they were cheaper. If I have to modify them, I'd rather do it cheap. I don't want to cut the fender either. Thanks again! Phil.
