This one should give all of you a hoot. I have chassis # 18, purchased from the 2nd owner 2 yrs ago. Drove it until last May 2010, and then, due to protests from mama, bought a 2008 P51 Roush Mustang. Comfort, you understand.
So now, since I miss driving it so much, I got it out of storage and found NO BRAKES!~!!
So I mst relocate all three brake reservoirs now so I can refill them after I either redo the master cylinders mounted up under the dash, or just rebuild and keep them. What an asinine place to put brake reservoirs!!!!

Has anyone replaced their Tilton cylinder set up with a tandum or a power tandum assembly? If so, what was used for the cylinder, pedals and mountings, etc?
Appreciate any help here.

Not sure where your reservoirs are mounted, but Tilton makes a remote resevoir kit. Mine are mounted to the firewall in the center of the engine compartment. Tiltons are very easy to rebuild, done mine once.

I mounted my remote reservoirs on the center of the firewall, easy to get at. The remotes came with the Tilton kit when I bought it from Roger. You could either mount them on top of the master cylinders or remotely on the firewall. It sounds like the original builder mounted them on the master cylinders. If I were you, I'd get the remote kit from Tilton & move them to the firewall.

I agree with Don, the master cylinders are easy to rebuild, that might be your best bet.

The last time I talked to Roger he was working for an environmental clean up company and was working many hours. He had thoughts of building only a few cars each year. I think the new wife keeps him busy in what little spare time he has.

Last Saturday had some of my cobra budds at Hallett and they ran into Roger. He is doing well. i noticed that Kathy's voice is now on the answering machine. I believe he is still trying to put out a car or two each year.
