KSC- Cobra

My car has reached the point where it is now drivable. I want to start driving it short distances to shake out the bugs. I need to register the car and get insurance. I already have a Haggerty policy for some other cars but they made it pretty clear they're not interested in insuring a cobra. Who do you have your cobra insured with? Also, are there any particular issues I should be aware of when I'm trying to register my car? I live in Florida. I did not put wipers on my car, is that going to cause me a problem getting it registered?

I have Hagerty, with no problem. Are you dealing "directly" with Hagerty or a local "agent"?

When I talked to a local agent, I got all the BS about "they don't like to insure Cobra's". The "local Agent" caused me more problems than Hagerty ever has.

I would talk to Hagerty direct: forget the agent. When I renew each year, I call Hagerty: I never talk to the agent, anymore.

Since you already have one insured with them, the second car should be no problem.

I live in Georgia and I put wipers on from Speciality Power Windows in Forsyth, Ga (universal kit). I have got "caught" in thick fog at times & rain once: it was good to have them at that time.

We are now using the The Hartford and just changed a few months ago. We need wipers in Maine because of inspection not to mention how valuable they can be. Getting caught in a shower could be scary without them.
