Guys,

I do not like my cmc interior at all. Nasty GM column, gorilla fur carpet, pinto/gremlin door handles, and flat dash.

Nick Acton has fab'd me a comp dash, all smiths gauges

Has anyone fitted a stock dash into a cmc? It's going really well here.

Thought about it once but instead covered mine in black leather along with seats and door panels with pouches.Also used the original latches and ferrels for door sliding windows,threw out all the CMC stuff.Only carpet is the tunnel and cubby behind the seats,floors are in bed liner material with a drainhole or two.
The single best feature of a kit is that freedom we have to do what we want to make these cars all they can be.Good Luck with your upgrades.Mike Ross

I just bought a set of Superformance leather seats - talk about much more comfortable!

I have considered going the more conventional route too. I’m thinking a redo on dash is a good winter project. Here is the dash look I currently have. I did finally upgrade my seats-got a decent deal taking them to the local low rider shop

Did not go with the diamond tuck velour the recommended

Did get a great seat custom padded and wrapped in leather for a very good price.

Had a lifelong friend who owns an upholstery shop do my interior,top and tonneau.He greatly increased the padding in the seats and we stayed with the original look.Also extended the rearview mirror a couple of inches to see out of the car with top on.Now need to find a fender mirror tall enough to see over the rear fender.

Notwise, I went with the IDIDIT column,moto lita wheel,and ignition in the dash.

The steering column would be the only upgrade my car needs to 100% for me. Always wanted the ig switch on the dash.When ready to redo the dash will change the column.Does anyone make a black column?

I went with a ididit column, it is nice. I am looking for seats right now, looking at VW jetta as a donor. I also heard the mini cooper seats were a good choice.

TomsCobra I may get this wrong but I think I heard acura nd miata seats were an option. Search the forum if your interested.
