Beastly

A buddy in a Factory Five and I just went to a local car show/cruise in that had several categories and we were not real sure which to enter. It was not a real serious show but did have a $20 entrance fee. What is a Cobra replica? My choices were a) motorsport competition-open B) 1963-1967 Factory hi-performance C) Hot rod customs –Open. Well after much debate I figured since my buddies cobra had rondels and sponsor decals on it we should enter the motorsport category. The folks running the how seemed to agree.

I was kinda of interested in the groups thoughts on this? What are we?

Cannot remember we used to put ours in shows a lot at first.The last show we went to got there a little too late the traffic was backed up almost 3 miles did a U-Turn spent the rest of the day cruising around.Amazing how spur of the moment plan changes can turn out so nice

I have only been in three shows so far. I always put "1966 Shelby Cobra": that's what it is to me.

I was in a show yesterday and I was in the '60-'69 class: I won first place.

Two weeks ago, the form just asked "stock or modified": no classes or anything. I won Best of Show for Paint.

Two weeks before that, It was a "Top 50" show and I made the Top 50 of over 100 cars, with 40 plus corvettes.

I hear plenty of "is that a kit"? I say four years of work doesn't sound like much of a "kit" to me.

I'll have to load some more pictures.

Good job 52 Chevy.I always thought the same thing when speaking of kit cars.Our car was a lot of work course I changed from small block to big block then from mustang suspension to full custom then from side exhaust to undercar.Certainly was not a bolt together in true kit car fashion.
