Backed our little beauty out of the shop yesterday and gave it a good cleaning and checked all fluid levels,tire pressures etc.Sure have missed driving it.The new drive train is loosening up fresh engine,new clutch,new Tremec,and new rear gears.One thing to point out was the Wilwoods were not good at first until after a few stops and wearing the film from sitting wore off.Finally may replace the deep cycle battery it has been in the car for well over 10 yrs always on a tender.

Sounds like a lot of fun- Whats the new drive train???? Down here in south Texas our driving season is starts March but by July its 100+.

Thanks, motor was dissassembled and added another .005 clearance to piston/cylinderwall new bearings and rings.Added aluminum flywheel,Tremec TKO 5 speed,Strange aluminum 9" center section with 3:70 gear.Things are starting to loosen up the car drives great.Plan to use it a lot more this year.
Have to find a taller fender/cowl mirror.Added 2" to rearview love it with soft top on can finally see out the back.

I was taking a look at your pics- I really like the way you worked the radiator shroud/cover plate. Would you be willing to share how you did that?

The cover plate is 3/16" billet aluminum had a local machinst make and bend it up.The shrouding top,front and oil cooler surround I did myself with 1/8" aluminum.Made cardboard templates to fit then tweaked after aluminum was cut.Before the shrouding thought I had a problem with engine running warm,turned out the 460 just comes to temp quick with no engine fan then stabilizes at 190.The electric fan does not run as much.

I sure hope the rest of you are driving your cars more than I.My other loves and full time job are stealing all my spare time.Spring came and went filled with getting camp site up and running.Trying to finish up a new motor build for V8 motorcycle it is almost ready to go.Finally gearing up making trailer DOT legal to go out of state to pick up new project JD tractor,in the meantime the Cobra sits.Isn't that what life is all about!

Funny- Your talking about the projects list. I just got into something completely unexpected. Bought a used yerf dog go cart for the kids that needed lots of work. Somehow that has turned into buiding a 1/3 scale 32 ford roadster for the kids. keeps me entertained now that its just too hot to drive cobra in daylight.

We have had a very hot and wet summer perfect for the gardens.We do love the Cobra and will drive it a lot more when the time is right.Working a full time job,taking care of all the household chores,then visiting family and friends,with all the nieces and nephews functions leaves little time for the toys.Retirement is just around the corner 100% certain will get the time then to enjoys these hot rods.Used to feel guilty having them just set in the garage,that is a waste of grey matter.Sure enjoy walking by them knowing how much fun they are to drive,every once in while cannot stand it climb in and light her off just to hear the pipes.
