Yes.. and no. The PO bought the car from the original purchaser who let it sit since he bought it in 1994. The PO spent a ton of cash and put an awesome 302 (built for NASCAR truck series 400+ hp) and had Noones Custom prep and paint the body.

However, the interior was awful so I'm completely redoing it - new SPF seats, original S/C dash with all Smiths gauges, moto-lita wheel, leather panels, remounted brake lever, correct door latches, and wilton carpets.

Then the rear gas tank was a rectangular block, so that's been angled, the rear redone (as I stated above), and now the front has shortened control arms and coilovers.

The goal is a car that honors the original but certainly not trying to completely imitate it.

Sounds like it is being done right.Did mine right the first time round as well it is paying big dividends now.Only change to mine since first on the road is leather interior,Oh and upgraded drive train Toploader to Tremec TKO 3:55 to 3:70 rear.Just part of the fun of owning these cars.

Looking forward to hearing what your driving experience is with these new tires.My BFG's are creeping up on 20 yrs old.Still look new but sure the rubber is not as pliant or able to grab onto the asphalt like when new.Great for cruising only.

It was a total POA to get these tires to fit - the stock MII front end is just too wide for the body and original Billboards. We got shortened control arms and then had to cut off shock towers and go with coil-overs. Ending results will be a ton better than what we started with.

This sideshot that shows the new rears and the fronts situated with the old control arms..
