KSC- Cobra

What components did you use for your front suspension, Mustang II or aftermarket, and if aftermarket, what kind? How much if any modifications did you have to do?

Wanting to eliminate the strut bars had the lowers custom built out of chrome moly for coilovers,the uppers were aftermarket.Cannot remember the brand it was almost 20 yrs ago.
While the frame was at the fab shop for front suspension upgrade had it clearanced for undercar exhaust.

All aftermarket tube components. Previous builder had used mustang II stamped medal stuff, and I'm thinking that I may be able to recover some of the Streetbeasts brand 'anti-value' by using the highest quality components.

Used aftermarket, but purchased kit with components already included so do not know vendor.

Hey Redeye,the more you do to your car the more it will increase the value,potential buyers would see this.Had mine appraised after reading all the negativity on this site.Not to worry it's all about the build and the person wanting to buy.

I used the mustang II stamped stuff. Once built and bugs worked out I have slowly converted over to "cooler" and in some cases better aftermarket products. I promise one thing a cobra if you build it right no one will complain about your cobra. -Beastly

Good advice guys, something for all builders to remember. We did do a bit of modifications for aftermarket tuff, but mostly fixing bad welds, or grinding out parts of the strut housing to accomidate the control arm movement. I do have the old mustange ii stuff if someone is seeking a deal. I was planning on holding on to it but i'm not really sure if i'll ever use it.
