Here are some progress photos of the customer roll bar install.

Also the amazing situation from those screw-ups at Streetbeasts who managed to mold the trunk about 1.5 inches off center of the car, so how exactly am I to get the stripes to meet up with the trunk handle? Unbelievable. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do to fix it, did you move the handle position, or cut the trunk frame apart and move on the body?

Note, You'll also see how we raised the rear shock towers for the coil over springs. Did anyone else do this? The rear of the car just seemed to high otherwise.

Cannot see the pictures but obviously a lot has changed.Other than the manual being very hard to decifer and having to shim the body to frame on the right rear the car went together with almost no issues like this.
Shock towers were fine on our car using Carrera coilovers had to adjust lower right rear when car was scaled.

I think you move the trunk handle - 1.5" is going to be noticeable..

MDross - We are likely going to either shim the left rear, or simply pull the body down an additional attachment point.
Notwise - I'm thinking about the same. The problem is both the truck opening AND the handle, so if I make it correct it will likely look too far to the left on the truck...yikes! May just have to scrap the stripe idea, however I REALLY want stripes

RedEye the body has to sit on the frame with no stress so shimming is your only option I did mine a little and near 20 yrs now not one stress crack.Wouldn't it be easier to adjust the stripe?Agree with Notwise 1 1/2" will stand out.Having two roll bars with the stripe can see your concern remember these were race cars first,you could always say they were built to go fast first the second roll bar had to go where it is.Good Luck

Yes, indeed. The car may end up with a single offset stripe, and I think this could be very cool and custom. The body has a weird bow to it so I think we're going to make some custom attachment points, re-enforce with additional epoxy and try to balance the stresses. I must say, as the exhaust was mounted today, it looks great after doing the custom work and fit and trim.
