Just making sure before I shell out the bucks for a set of custom headers. What did you guys use for yours? Also, did the brake vent mesh come with you guys' kits? I can't find any, and don't know where to look. Thanks fellas.

Had mine custom built each pipe is seperate as is the collectors.Cost in 94 was $800.00 then sent them out for Jet Hot coating. The vent mesh did come with our car and is available.Ducted the right side back to help cool the starter, the left side to help cool the engine bay.

I too am close to ordering headers, probably will order from Shell Valley. However, the side pipe that came with my kit does not have the 4 into 1 collector upstream of the side pipe. Does anyone know where I could get one of those?

KSC,
I don't know youre budget, but I would order headers AND sidepipes from shell valley. That combo looks so good. Pipes come back about 2-3 inches from fender opening. Sell other sidepipes. Just my .02

My personal experiance mixing header and sidepipes vendor was a PIA. I think littlewave has a good point. But I did wind up make a streetbeast header fit a factory Five side pipe. Lots of fab work and I would not do it again. I would have been better served with the shell valley set up.

I used shell valley. The welds were O.K. - not great - but within a tolerance which we were able to clean up before sending off to powder coating. Their prices and services are great, and I HIGHLY recommend using a slip style joint between the headers and the side pipe. My fiberglass body is not perfect between both sides (what fiberglass that sits around for years without support is.... ) so the slip feature was a big help in getting these to look perfect on both sides. We'll probably have some hi-temp silicone in the slip space to seal everything up nice. Have fun!
