I'm prepping to install the wiring and fuse box. Where did you guys mount the fuse box? Also I'm looking to route the harness so that it doesnt show. Anyone got any suggestions or tips.
My kit came with a specialty windows wiper kit. How and where did you mount the motor? I was thinking of the bottom of the dash hoop. Any comments/suggestions?

Mounted my fuse box in passenger footwell beside the heater box. The wiring harness runs along the top of the right inner fender well just under the hood lip mostly out of sight. Keeping them looking as if factory done was my mission. If any needed modifying I got the same wire and loom to match.

Probably many ways to do it but here is mine. My finished setup has all the wires hidden.

Also I mounted the Specialty wiper above the passenger foot well. Don't have any pics of that but cn get some if needed. The hardest part of that was getting the wiper bezels to look good.

Mdross, could you please clarify on the installation on your fuse box. You stated that you mounted it in the passenger side foot well. Would this be on the side where the steering support runs vertical? My thoughts were to mount over there and then run the body harness underneath the lower door lip. During final assembly of interior and carpet, is there room to run that wiring underneath that lower door lip?

I mounted mine left center on the tunnel where the incline starts, I mounted a separate 6 circuit fuse block on the right passenger side of the firewall. My goal was to keep as much wiring as possible inside the tub of the car routed into the hood and through to my trunk. I have wire runs under each door. Myself and another Aircraft electrician did it 17 years ago when I was much younger and now I often say "What was I thinking" I have changed a ton of under hood routing in the past year. I was very happy about installing that separate 6 circuit block. It has come in very handy over the years when adding new components. My next endeavor I think will be adding an electric water pump.

My firewall area is pretty busy with the 2 fuse blocks, relays for the fan, fuel pump, line lock, nitrous/purge valve, wipers and heater/AC hoses

40k, you make a good point. I am trying to think ahead as much as possible with this build, trying to plan for the 'anything could happen' scenario. The fuse box setup that came with this SB appears decent but I do not believe it leaves for many options for upgrades in the future. I understand that it is more than likely designed for those that have a carburetor model. It does have a lead for a fuel pump. Somehow, I will need to figure out how to integrate the factory oem wiring harness for the 4.6 DOHC into this fuse block. It shouldnt be too difficult though.

Ziggy, I mounted the Painless fuse block on the heater box in the pass footwell, it makes for easy access to fuses then ran the harness to the back through the drivers side threshold tunnel.
