It used to bother me at first not any more since I know better comparing my car to any other on the market. My car turned out so much better than the Na Sayers just take it from the source. I set this car up to be a racer it does it very well. Honestly never heard the bad till visiting the forums and we have to remember the forums is where so many come to complain so take that for what it is worth.
I would set my car next to any other including the originals have nothing to hide. We are very proud of this car and it was built in my shop. You can bet I have a very strong connection to it since it first came to life back in 94.

Twenty Six car show trophies & counting, I still love it! Yes, it was a pain to build, but it all worked out. I am always amazed at the number of people snapping pics with it or of it, at car shows.

I have had many other cobra folks admire the car...often trying to figure out what manufacturer it was... very flattering to hear the guesses....its all about how you build it....

I have taken mine out to car shows and cruise ins and as Beastly said they want to know the manufacturer. On another note, i am in the process right now of pulling the motor and replacing it with a new 408 stroker. I purchased the car used and am finding alot of short cuts that the origional owner tried to make. Very pissed to say the least. Now my motor swap has turned into a partial restoration. I am working with Shell Valley who have been nothing but awsome to work with. Mater of fact they just last year put together a Street Beast for a guy in TX, so they are very familiar with the build. The only thing i dont like is where the gas cap is located but that will be taken care of when i send it back off to paint. I love my car and waited 26 years to get it. Who cares what other people say as long as YOU are happy. All said and done i will have about 50K invested. But ya know what? It will be what i want not what someone else thinks i should have.
