What Peddles Are Used In SBs?

Curious what peddles (clutch & brake) are to be used in these cars? Looks like I have a butchered up set from an old mustang or something in mine. It's some wierd set up with no clutch cable quadrant. Could this be from a mustang II? Reason I ask is because there is no clutch cable and I'd like to get one.

I ditched everything in the kit and purchased Tilton upper mount clutch and brake, and a drag racing floor mounted fuel pedal with a cable throttle. Manual brakes. I HIGHLY recommend widening the size of the foot space for the driver, otherwise it's nearly impossibly to not have you feed running over adjacent pedals.

Thanks but I'm trying to work with what I have for the time being. Anyone know if the manual suggested what peddle box to use? Is anyone here using the ford clutch cable or has everyone switched to hydraulics as well?

Thanks for the offer but I have two gas pedals. The one in the car that looks like a bent up mustang pedal and a nice billet one from Factory Five I plan on using.

I am using a cable clutch with adjuster on the firwall and have not trouble with it. Simple and effective. I also use the pedal (clutch brake) from a 1966 Mustang. But if I were to do it over again and money was no object I would have gone Tilton.

Beastly, did you have to modify the clutch pedal to use a cable? Would the cable be from a fox body mustang?

We used pedals from a Mustang modified for dual masters and to use a clutch cable.The cable is from an F150 if memory serves me.Made up an adjuster at the bell housing the dual masters made the firewall adjuster useless.

The manual calls for a 74-78 Mustang II pedal box. It also says you have to modify said clutch/brake pedal bracket, it shows a picture on how/where to modify it to fit. I saw on youtube where a guy used a fox body pedal set. He said that 3 out of the 4 holes line up with the SB firewall plate.

I just picked up the pedal assembly today. Won't be able to get out to the garage until next weekend to get it installed. I'll let you know how it goes, and I'll try to remember to take pictures.
