I've a Superformance cobra, Shelby America 496 engine,600hp. The car runs ok but I feel it has more which seemed to be timing out and that was resolved.
I also have a fluffy/ hesitation in LEFT hand turns only. Its a spluttering that the harder I turn the more evident it comes.
I also have an issue that I can kill the car by braking hard, this can be done at slow speeds, 15kph. Put it into neutral, rolling, brake hard, the engine will splutter and can die. I videoed it, its got fuel coming up out the breather pipes and basically killing it. Tried all float settings, baffles, higher pipes but no joy. This is all with the Demon carb.
Bought a new Prosystems carb but its done nothing!! All issues still exist.
I videoed the fuel pressure, there's a lot of fluctuating in the pressure on the gauge and not a steady level maintained. Pumps a Mallory 140.
Does anyone have any idea what can be causing these symptoms as Prosystems are struggling to come up with anything aslo.
