Pedals before

Just finished cutting the Wilwood pedal assembly pads off and installed the AC pads I bought 12 years ago. Installed longer master cylinder push rods to get the pedals in a better position. The factory ones left the top edge of the pedal pads so there wasn't much surface to be comfortable in hard driving or traffic.

How about some pictures of the procedure- I'm thinking JB weld and a couple of nuts and bolts for attachment,just bought the pedals for mine... Rich

Sorry for the delay Rich.

Trying to find a picture hosting website that will work.
I thought of doing it the way you suggest but went ahead and cut the pedal pads off but leaving the meat in the center so when I slotted the new pads and slid them over. I check that the pedal would pivot with a full range of motion. At that point I drilled through both. Then installed a bolt and nut to hold them together. I didn't put a spring on them yet but it looks like an AR15 hammer spring would work to keep the pedals in the same position at rest.

This article is somewhat interesting to me . I just purchased a Unique cobra . I love it . The brakes though , I have a very hard pedal . I really have to apply a lot of pressure to stop . Are all Uniques this way ? 2 cylinders , 1 to the front and 1 to the rear . Manual wilwoods .

As far as I know Unique cobras have the same wilwood set up. You might want to get new pads with a more street friendly compound as you don't know what someone has put on the car. Just a suggestion and probably a good place to start. Wilwood website will have all the manuals for setting up your brake bias, choosing brake pads and bedding in your new brake pads.

I finally found out , I have 2 wildwood cylinders . 1" to the rear , 7/8" to the front . Emailed Alan Weaver , am going to replace both with 3/4" cylinders .
