I'm building my WCC and I've got her in the body shop. This week I'll get the body back so I can put it on the frame. Then it's final mounting and readying for door fixturing and final paint.

Dark Green Metalic with White Stripe.

I'll post more information on modifications I've made so far. And I have some questions for you as I start the final assembly.

Has anyone heard from Vern? I need some parts and He apparently does not answer his email anymore. If anyone has a bead on him. Please Let me know he's still around.

I just talked to vern he is still building cars he has a girlfriend overseas which takes up alot of his time just call 1-519-736-7274 or call me 920-609-5667 and i will talk to him and give him your information.

Derp,
Thanks, How long ago? I've called and left him emails for months. Yes, I know his number from his website. Vern knows me and I had talked to him a few months ago but since then he is unavailable. If you have talked to him in the last few weeks/days this is my interest as I cannot reach him. If you do have communication please let him know that he should please reply to his email and/or let people know what's up.

UPDATE !
I have my body back from the body shop and it's only primed so far. The body is on the frame and I'm prepping it for paint. Photos to come soon.

Battery Cable Routing:

Anyone who wants to contribute:

I'm pulling my battery cable and I'm wondering since there is not any detail in the instructions on this where did you penetrate the trunk fiberglass and how did you route the battery cables for ease of maintenance etc. Does anyone have anything interesting which they'd like to contribute?

I uploaded a photo of my steering column by Ididit. Of course, the column is rotated 180 for purposes to get the turn signal lever out of the way for the painter. I'm set to deliver her tomorrow for door fitting and paint. Dark Metalic Green with an off-white stripe(s).

I took my headers to get them Ceramic Treated. I also included the side louvers to match my headers. It's cheaper to ceramic coat these than to chrome them. I certainly hope they'll look alright. I'll see in a few weeks and post pics. I only have shots of the headers on the car as "before" pics though.

I just got my Stainless Headers and exhaust pipes back from Ceramic Coating. I also coated my Side Louvers and couplings. They look great. I'll give them another polish treatment before I install everything. It was $450 for everything. While I was breaking in the engine the Headers turned a copper gold color. It's much better knowing these will never discolor again. I can't wait to get my WCC back from paint. Stand by, Photos are coming in a few weeks.

I was told that I should NOT use header wrap. The wrap is abrasive and the vibration of the engine will cause the wrap to eat through the coating. So, I think I'll take a look at fabricating aluminum heat shields for each header under the hood and fender area. My next engine or rebuild will definitly have ceramic coating on the pistons and heads.

who did you use to ceramic coat the pipes ? Let us know how they stand up once on the road.
