Cobra or Corbeau Clubman Seats?

I'm not using the lowback seats supplied with the kit. They don't look origional anyway plus I want a head restraint to keep from possibly bumping my head on my roll bar. The posture puts your hips too far forward and my knee brushes the door/dash, even if I mount the seat directly on the floor. Factory 5 used Cobra seats at one point. I do like them better than the Corbeau seats. I would not want cloth seats. Black Vinyl will match the black interior. I was wondering if anyone had used Clubman seats or anything else in thier WCC.

Xack excellent question, you need a high back seat in the WCC to increase safety and comfort. I have looked at several seats inclding the ones you mentioned the key dimension is the width of the seat cushion. I looked at SCAT PRO CAR seats from Summit but have not ordered them yet. Need 19.5" width, and its hard to find. Im not into spending 1500 /seat to get strength unless money is no object. The best solution in my mind (for safety) is to use an OEM seat from a small import (Acura, Miata) because they must meet minumum US NHTSA saftey standards. The SCAT PRO CAR seats have steel welded frames but dont have to meet an OEM strength spec like an OEM seat does. My two cents. good luck

I finally decided on seats for my WCC. Cobra Classic CS. They look good, good craftsmanship and adjustable head restraint. They are not contemporary looking with the bolsters poking out all over the place and I'll have the protection to avoid slamming my head on the roll bar (if I ever need that protection).

http://www.cobraseats.com/.ClassicCS Here's the link. I'll have to admit I did not like them too much at first, The Cobra Clubman does look nice but thise look like Cobra seats. Other contemporary designs don't look right. Kind of like it's obvious you changed the seats in your Cobra.

Hi Xack:
I am having seat issues with my WCC, the wife needs the neck/head support after back surgery and I am having pains after 1 hr+ of driving. I see that you installed the Cobra seat, how are they, do you have any pictures? please post some.

I have a few pics on my profile but mine are not fully installed yet as I need to finish the cockpit. They are more comfortable than Vern's. I would expect they would be better on long trips because your posture is kept straight.
