Mine's a 2005 and the regulator's also under the dash on the passenger side.
I just had a tech chase down a drain in mine as well in April. Several issues, between underrated wiring (increased wiring gauge to the fuel pump and terminal), bad grounds (cleaned each of them to be safe, and ended up rewiring the "cigarette" plug into a completely separate fuse because of some load concers there as well), and ultimately upgraded to a 100amp alternator (TFF-7078NC from Summit Racing). She's been charging & running like a charm ever since.
