joey4420: So, the UCAs are Spohn's standard part for 1972-1976 Torinos and Rancheros, but the LCAs are custom-fabricated for the West Coast Cobra - is that correct?

I have an older WCC (first registered in 1991), and my UCAs look like the Ford OEM UCAs - similar in shape to the Spohn ones, but with rubber bushings. They're certainly not the rectangular ones like you had.

My LCAs are OEM Ford as well, but cut, welded and reinforced for the different mounting points in the WCC vs the original application. I've actually found this modification listed in the Kellison Stallion Build Manual (what a joke that is) and needed to show the safety inspectors here the page in order to satisfy them it wasn't some hack I did. I would assume all WCCs (and Kellison Stallions) use the same LCA mounting points and could therefore use the same Spohn LCAs.

This is going on the to-do list of modifications and upgrades for my car.

I measured the LCA based off of the Kellison build manual and they matched, so I would say they will fit all from the Kellison to the current WCC.

Yes that is correct. Sorry didn't say that in the last post. They are pre greased, but I did buy new hardware from them.

Any idea whether the sale prices apply to custom work - like the LCAs they built for you? When I contact them about the LCAs, what do I ask for (e.g. part number, West Coast Cobra, your name, etc.)?

I just checked the Spohn Web site and it looks like the Torino UCAs, LCAs and hardware kits are 15% off - a decent discount, but not spectacular. They're also offering free shipping on most orders over $49.00 though, of course, some exclusions apply.

They gave me the Part# of WCC-207R for the LCA's and WCC-981 for the hardware kit.

And you can mention my name, maybe they will get them put on there web site like they mentioned to me that way.

early stallions up to 1980 had OEM un-welded LCA's, the later stallions had bottom support welded in and the angle was changed. the early WCC copied kellisons modification, but when the OEM arms supply went obsolete, Vern,
in his infinite wisdom designed his own.....BARF
so kellison late and early WCC are the same, later WCC with the square monstrosities are different.
I just bought the Spohn arms for mine, upper and lower for the torino.
i have OEM lowers on mine

finally got time to change out my rear control arms. as usual i got F#$%ked.
RS upper and lower no sweat, LS lower no sweat......WTF LS upper misses the rear axle bracket by 1-5/16".........long phone conversation with Spohn, many pics.....conclusion, either put back on old uppers or grind welds off frame bracket and re position it where it should be.
i don't want the old uppers so i guess its fab time....
