Hey guy's
Do we all have a concern over the upper and lower rear trailing arms on our cars being made of rectangular tubing ? Can anyone give a good reason why they were made this way or should WCC be building or buying us all some proper ones ? As far as I have read, this seams like a major safety issue and a recall item for WCC to deal with.

Brent, have you actually been in touch with WCC in the last year? I stopped trying and no, I don't believe Vern would respond to a request for a correction. I bought replacement uppers from Suicidedoors.com and the lowers I'll modify at the axle attachment point as they just appear to need some rounding and rewelding at the end to permit full travel. Good to see your photos, that car looks sweet!! One warning though, do measure at both ends of the arm, mine were 2 3/8" on the frame and 2" on the axle...

FWB and I have been discussing this after I noticed that when I jacked up my car on the axel, that the trailing arm was bottomed against the connection support. WHAT THE? How is that supposed to work?

Who among us has replaced these components? and what if any are the part numbers which I can order? Or, What specs. do I need to get something which works? I don't want to modify the frame.

I'm looking forward to your replies.

I wasn't involved with that project at the time of course, and don't know if the chassis shop the previous owner used would still hav their original information. But if you want me to try and find out any specific info from either him or off my car directly, just let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I'd very much like to get something for my car to avoid the dangers of having the upper trailing arms locked and bottomed out on the frame socket. If it's not too much trouble please try to find the information.

If anyone has information on something to fit these cars, please write.

Sorry for the delay... I just heard back from the prior owner this morning, and I've since called & left a message with the shop he used to do the work on this car. Once they call me back and (hopefully) confirm it's all good to do so, I'll PM everybody or post their information on here accordingly.

I just realized as I was starting to PM people that this thread was actually resurrected from 2009. The shop owner who originally fixed mine and someone else's from NJ said it was fine to give out his information to fix others' also, but he preferred I didn't just blanket post the business info on the internet. So if anyone else runs across this thread trying to find a fix for yours, just let me know - I'll keep his info handy & PM it over to you.

Thanks for the tip Larry.

I just called Drew, Flintstone Engineering. He's going to work on a price in the next few days. If anyone else wants a set of arms, Lowers or uppers, let me know and we'll see if we can get a good price.

I just ordered a set of Upper Trailing Arms for my WCC from Drew @ Flintstone Chasis in Utah.

Let me know if anyone wants to upgrade

I'm due to recieve my Upper Trailing arms next week. I'll take photos and post them when they get here.
