Thanks

I have heard others on CC use a steel polish found in Motorcycle shops designed just for this purpose (dont know brand name). A long term solution is to have the headers and pipes ceramic coated.
Ceramic coating will also lower the pipe surface temps to help prevent damage to the painted body and chassis rail where it may discolor and peel the paint. You could also install small narrow strips of aluminum heat shield self-stick (good up to 400 F) directly onto the exhaust body cut-out area to protect fiberglass and paint to serve as a heat shield. Folks with 1,000's of miles on their WCC need to share what they learned about protecting this area.

I had yellow pipes on my cobra .I went to a Harley dealer and picked up a product called Blue Job.It's a powder you mix to a paste.A small amount goes a long way.It removes the blue and the yellow. You have to reapply it 2 or 3 times a year.I could not believe the difference it made.

Thanks guys. That was the first product I tried. No noticable difference. Could the chrome be damaged beyond repair?

When you say first product tried did you meen Blue-Job ? As in BJ didn't work ? My pipes are quite gold and blue too. I have read that that means that we are running too lean or is it rich. I can't remember.

Hi Rob
I have never seen coated ones in person but here on CC the pics of them look real good and supposed to lower temps considerably. Can they coat over stainless ?
