Hi all Just wanted to share a care point to be addressed on WCC cars that are using the Fox body steering column. Mine is from a 1986 XR7 Cougar. My WCC chassis in from 04. There was a recall on the ign switch and connector on those years. There is a Ford TSB published that outlines which cars exactly were affected. Many of those Fox body cars BURNED due to overheating connection at the ignition switch. WCC did not replace my switch as mine is the original switch. You can tell if it’s original because Tamper proof screwsattach the switch. Thankfully most parts stores stock the improved ignition switch and the connector for about $25 and it’s not too tough to replace. (Edit!! Except for drilling the heads off tamper proof screws)
FYI You will also want to eliminate the fusible link used at the starter connections that feeds the ignition switch connection and install a proper maxi fuse. This prevents the WCC from experiencing a lasting thermal event and a ruined car. 😯😯😯

Question, Mine is a 1994 build, so I can assume it is a the same column. Do you have a picture of the column or issue in case Vern used something else in mine?

Mine the turn signal stalk and wiper stalk are in the same place, but mine are square. I bet they are the same as the location is the same.

Joey, i think the square style are earlier than 87, more like 79-83 or 84, like from a fairmont or cougar the boxey bodies
