Hey, im not familiar with Cali laws but the company that made these kits West Coast Cobras is defunct and out of business. You wont get info from them. The chassis and or kit would have originally been delivered with a manufactures statement of origin. (Mso). Im assuming that you dont have that either. The state I used simply used a form that law enforcement signed to testify the VIN as stamped in the chassis rail nearest the left front wheel well after they visually inspected it. Every state is different. Check your frame rail for these stamped numbers ( not a tag) into the frame rail in left front. You may need to remove some paint from this area if the chassis has been repainted. Good luck.
