Gents, Tell us which tire sizes you went with for fronts and rears and the brands of tires you went with. I am using BFG Drag Radials in the rear with 325 section width on a 12" wide rim (27.8" diameter), fronts are sized per WCC specs P265/50R15

I have Dunlop GT Qualifiers, P265/50R15 front and P295/50R15 rear. No rubbing. I bought the car used and these are what came on it. They seem slippery to me. I would try another brand when it is time.

245/50/16 Goodyear all around on Centerlines, no rubbing, like she's on rails....

BF Goodrich Radial T/A - about ready to replace them, most likely with Cooper Cobra tires.
245/60R15 front
275/50R15 rear - likely will get replaced with 295/50R15.

Current wheels are American Racing Torq Thrust with spinners. 8.5" width all around (that's what the car came with when I bought it). Looking to replace them with AC-III wheels from E-T Wheels, but they'd be custom order to get the right offsets / backspacing. 8" front and 10" rear.

Anybody have any other suggestions for Halibrand style wheels with the right offsets?

Thanks Guys. I too still have the 15 inch (15x7, 15x12) AC model Wheels circa 1990’s vintage. They were custom made by ET Wheels back in the day I love that their still in business in CA. The new AC III wheel is my next wheel but cant decide 17 or 18” sizes so I can buy modern summer performance tires. The WCC have ample room in the rear for wide rubber due to the big hips! It seems there may be more tire brand choices if going with 18 inch wheels me thinks.

Guys dont forget to checkout these 15 inch tires from Galaxy. I am trying them on the fronts and so far they work great. Its a V speed rated tire and thats hard to find these days. The model is Vitour. R1 I posted about them on this site in the wheels and tires section. They come in many sizes but not all are V rated, some are H rated.

Currently looking at a set of Halibrand-style 17" wheels from Vintage Wheels. I'll need custom backspacing on the front wheels or 1.5" spacers - obviously the former is preferable.

Tire sizes will be 245/45R17 front and 275/40R17 rear. Right now the leading contender is the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tire. UTQG is 340AA.

Tire Rack rates it very highly for dry conditions, not so much for wet conditions - but I'm not going to drive it in the wet unless I get caught in a freak rainstorm.
