I bought my WCC from another person who did not have any of the manuals. Does anyone have all their build manuals?
Could we get them copies, scanned, Pdf'd or someother way to share. I would really like to get into some areas that I don't have info for.

The build manuals are not too detailed and filled with generalizations, I have one, what specific areas or sub-systems do you need info on and the group here can try to help you with details you need.

I am thinking of installing a larger fuel cell and want to see how things are put together around the existing fuel tank and trunk area. Like to know more about what's behind the trunk (I should say forward of the trunk).

A few WCC owners have already upgraded their fuel tanks. DocDirk has recent experience assembling his car PM him for details. My understanding is if its the original plastic fuel cell, it's slid onto the trunk shelf and strapped in with 2 steel straps. Its a really tight fit I understand. The tough part is getting the fill neck rubber hose off to slide the tank out. Below is ByronRace's tank , his pump plumbing is different however it's the RJS plastic tank that was typical on the WCC. Some have created a tank that drops down several inches below the shelf to gain more volume.[

I am looking at making a 34 gallon tank that is the shape of an inverted "L". The shorter part of the L would sit on the existing shelf where the current tank is located. The longer part of the L would fit into the trunk vertically down to the trunk bottom. I would use the existing filler although I am going to get a better fill plate and cap (mine leaks vapors constantly). We did the volume calcs and it is 34.3 gallons.

Trying to decide if I should put an "in the tank" fuel pump or not.

Going to have it made by FuelSafe. Don't have the final cost yet.

FuelSafe is good stuff but way outside of my budget for a street car.
A few folks have had custom stainless steel tanks in the "L" shape you speak of custom made and is the right direction to go. The key is to install liquid baffles correctly and since you are fuel injected, yes you should go with a high quality in-tank pump if you can fit it. But the pump options will depend on the horse power you have. Some set-ups use OEM quality twin pumps to get the flow rate needed for high horsepower (500 +). The Fuelsafe folks can help you pick one I am sure.

No, haven't been working on it this fall. Been travelling too much. I will get back into it after the beginning of the year. When I get info, I will post it.

Update on the fuel tank.....just took it in...we are currently making a mock-up to see how it will fit, attachment to frame considerations, fuel pump locations...etc.....

If anyone has ideas or questions....fire away...
