I have a 460 with the SS headers. I am putting on my mufflers to the headers and frame. I think I have a good solution for the muffler mounts. I was measuring for the passenger side. I expected the position of the muffler to be slightly different from the driver side. While the mufflers are identical mirror images of each other, the passenger side header puts the muffler back a full 2". The muffler exit point is actually under the right left fender... Huh?.

Has anyone run into this problem? Has anyone had to cut the headers to fit the mufflers?

Fellows,
Seriously? No one has had any issues with the position of the right side pipe coming out under the rear fender well? Am I the only one to get an unmatched pair or what?

When I get back to town I will take a look and measure my side pipes. I have never noticed a difference. I need a coupe days.

I cut 2" off the passengers side header. Now the pipes look even on each side.

Measured mine and they are equal and are located just in front of wheel well on both sides.
